One-year results for Class I & II restorations.

Principal investigators, Dr. John Burgess and Dr. Carlos Munoz, conducted a clinical trial that measures the efficacy of SureFil® SDR® flow by evaluating the following criteria:

  • Fracture
  • Proximal Contact
  • Recurrent Caries
  • Sensitivity
  • Gingival Index

Posterior restorations (154 at 6 months and 125 at 12 months) using SureFil® SDR® flow fared well in all categories. Results included:

  • No observations of recurrent caries at base, 6 months or 12 months
  • Did not cause post-operative sensitivity
  • No restorations were lost*

* 2 restorations were lost, but neither were the fault of the base material
