“I have been placing esthetic restorations for 30+ years, from silicates to composites. We have always had problems with the time required to place a beautiful, durable, restoration with no postoperative sensitivity. When SureFil® SDR® flow came along we tried it and seemed to have good results. It gave our office a distinct advantage when doing direct restorations. The thing I like best about using SureFil® SDR® flow is the adaptability and self leveling when placing. Very little manipulation is required. On models and extracted teeth I have seen the amazing lack of bubbles at the base of the filling where the SureFil® SDR® flow meets the dentin. From what I have seen the contact is 100%. I believe this helps prevent sensitivity normally present on large, deep cavities. The lack of sensitivity is consistent on all these large restorations. Of course the most obvious advantage with SureFil® SDR® flow on large restorations is the amount you can place at one time. With 4mm increments you greatly decrease placement time with each procedure. This results in more comfort for the patient with less jaw fatigue. With all the advantages, faster, easier, less sensitivity a new benchmark has been created for placing composite restorations.” |
